Steel mills

The activity of Apiel S.r.l in design and automation of additives plants has begun in the mid-80s, with the study of automatic weighing and batching systems for raw materials in Italy and the rest of the world (those plants are known also as RMH plants).
With a 25 years long experience in the steel field and in additives plants, Apiel S.r.l has developed personalized solutions, not only for control of raw materials and additives systems, but also for an wider range of applications and industrial services for steel mills.

Some examples:
- completely automated additives systems (complete design, manufacturing of electrical and mechanics, know-how, automation system software);
- scrap yard management system of (radio controlled automation);
- storage control and reports of consuptions

During the last few years Apiel S.r.l has been specialized in other applications for steel mills which:
- dedusting plants (DDP)
- water traetment plants (WTP)
- control of released powders and pollution;
- auxiliary services for furnace (furnace services);
- level 2 management and interface, DCS systems.
 
Our automation systems are based on a PLC control for management of actuators and sensors; our human-machine interface systems spreads from the simple operating panel to a more complex scada system.
Our automation programs can be supplied for many PLC brands like for example: Siemens S7, Rockwell, Omron, GE Fanuc and many more.
Every plant is designed in order to connect our control system with existing equipment (DCS, PC or PLC) in order to obtain a remote control of the system and to exchange production data.
